Kaeric Matthew Swimeley Obituary

Kaeric Matthew Swimeley, 25, of Mahtowa, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He was born on June 23, 2000, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Jessica Grimm and Matthew Swimeley. He spent his early years in Ohio before moving with his family to Texas, and later to Minnesota, where he graduated from Barnum High School in 2018.

Kaeric loved trains, watching the birds, listening to books and music, and watching movies. He found great joy in the small things and loved simply experiencing the world around him. He especially loved being with his siblings and the people he loved. Being a big brother was one of the most important parts of his life.

Kaeric had a quick sense of humor and a brilliant smile. Those who knew him will remember his incredible resilience, his heart, and his deep love for his family.

His family would like to recognize the many dedicated nurses who loved and cared for him in his home over the years.

He is survived by his mother, Jessica Grimm; his father, Matthew Swimeley; his stepfather, Jacob Grimm; his siblings, Oliver (Hannah), Tobin, Elliot, Fern, and Reed; his step-siblings, Lilly and Aiden; as well as his grandparents and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly.

A celebration of life will be held later this month, with details to be shared when available.

Kaeric was a beautiful human. He was deeply loved, and our hearts are forever broken by his loss.

It was the greatest honor of my life to be his mother
