Daniel Wayne Raiche Obituary

Daniel Wayne Raiche

3/16/1982 – 3/31/2026

“Dan the Man,” “Raichecar,” and “Hot Dan” are just a few of the nicknames Dan had. Dan was always joyful and loved to laugh with his family and friends. He loved more unconditionally than anyone we know. He was consistent and kind. Dan loved being around his favorite people, talking on the phone, being with the dogs, and spending time at the cabin. Around every holiday, it was always, “What’s the plan?”

His one-liners were epic. Dan was part of the Special Olympics for many years—first participating in bowling, swimming, and basketball, then coaching floor hockey and softball, and lastly serving as an observer. He made many friends through the Special Olympics. Dan loved watching WWE and football with his buddies, and he often changed football alliances. His last team was the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dan had a lot of hardships in his life, including myotonic muscular dystrophy, learning disabilities, and the loss of his mom at age 3, his brother at age 12, and his dad at age 34. Even with all these hardships, Dan remained happy, loving, and caring, with the biggest heart.

Dan was preceded in death by his mom, Mary Pat; his dad, Wayne; and his brother, Nick. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Chet and Marion Raiche, and Anthony and Shirley Pilla.

He is survived by his bonus mom, Teri Raiche (Ed Gibb); his sister, Anna Huxley; his nephews, Andrew Huxley and Gage Olson; and his niece, Abby Huxley. He is also survived by his grandparents, Jerome and Beulah Hahn; his chosen family (“framily”), the Matt Remackel family; and his sweet girlfriend, Becky Klinger, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Warren Town Hall, 720 112th St., Roberts, WI 54023.
