Diane Niederer Obituary

Diane Niederer is spending Easter with Jesus Christ, her sons Tom and Jim, and many loved ones. She was surrounded by family and friends when she died, on April 1, 2026 at the age of 90.

Born in Wisconsin to Andrew and Ethel Yanke, she was raised on a farm in a large hardworking family.  She graduated Madison General school of nursing and met the love of her life, Bob in the same town.  Married in 1957, Diane and Bob moved to Minnesota where they raised their family.

Diane’s passion to serve is exemplified in her love and care for her husband, children, grandchildren and anyone she knew.  She taught us about grace and compassion and what it means to be a person of Faith. Always curious about others, she made everyone feel loved and a welcomed part of her life.

Diane served as a nurse for many years. The highlight was at NC Little Hospice where she provided wholistic love and comfort for those she cared for.  This is where Diane  spent her last days on earth receiving care that was equal to the care she had provided for so many years.

Diane is survived by her loving husband Robert, son John (Chris), daughter Sue (Matt), daughter in laws Jan and Kate.  Grandchildren Bobby, Jacob (Tori), Jesse, Zach (Cameron), Michael (Ashley) , Maddie (Aaron), Claire (Xavi), Joey, Sean and Andy. As well as many other beloved family and friends.
