Sylvia Elisabeth Anderson, 66, of Rogers, Minnesota, passed away surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of strength, honesty, and devotion to her family.
Sylvia was born in Nördlingen, Germany, in 1960 and came to the United States when she was just one year old. She spent much of her early life raising her daughters in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, where she created a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.
She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Dworshak; her grandparents; and various other relatives and friends.
She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Amanda (Cody) and Stacy (Jake); her five cherished granddaughters; her mother, Gerlinde Dworshak; her brothers, Mike (Liz) and Jason (Tarah) Dworshak; her sister, Debbie Dworshak; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Sylvia was a strong, independent woman known for her spunk, her sense of humor, and her unwavering loyalty as a friend. She lived life on her own terms and brought laughter, honesty, and warmth to everyone around her. She had a deep love for Minnesota sports—especially cheering on the Minnesota Vikings—and delighted in music, dancing, and the simple joys of sunshine and togetherness with family.
As a grandmother, Sylvia was loving, present, and deeply devoted. Her granddaughters brought her endless joy, and she made each of them feel cherished and special. Her infectious laugh, radiant spirit, and fierce love for those closest to her will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
Though her passing leaves a profound void, her family finds comfort in the enduring light of her love, which will continue to guide them every day.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota – Edina, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina, MN 55435. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m., with a service at 11:00 a.m.
