Floyd William Thompson (84), of St. Francis, Minnesota, went to be with the Lord on March 24th, 2026.


Floyd was born October 30th, 1941 in Minneapolis, MN. Floyd was best known for his love of Jesus, music, and his zest for everything! He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing all genres of music. He enjoyed numerous outdoor activities including golf, roller blading, motorcycling, and camping. He had an infectious laugh, and enthusiasm for life.


Floyd is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Lenora Thompson -1969, his siblings Arthur (Tommy) Thompson, Delores Norberg, Loretta Thompson, and Vernon Thompson. He was also preceded by his beloved wife Kathy Thompson.


Floyd is survived by his siblings: Alma Oberpriller, Thomas Thompson, and Hope O'Brien. 


His children: Dan Thompson, Chris Thompson, Charity Allen, Shannon Anderson, son in law Jon Anderson, and his former spouse Carlene Carroll


Stepchildren: Susan Shea (Kevin), Ron Brown Jr. (Angela) and Mary Scherr,


Grandchildren: Shannon, Marcus, Faith, Jon, Jordan, Sarah, Arielle, Jack, and Megan


Step grandchildren: Jim, Jessica, Ron III, Jon, Richard, Dan, Jennifer, Hannah, and Lily


53 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


Floyd loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and lived by his convictions. He loved life and spending time with all of you! He was adored by many. The world will be a little less musical and joyful without him in it, but he is now home with his Heavenly Father!
