Barbara Ann Laughlin (Boehme), a loving wife, mother, grandma, great grandma, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on March 23rd, 2026, at 86 years of age. She was born on September 13th, 1939, to Vincent and Catherine Boehme in Bird Island Township, Minnesota where she grew up on a farm with her 6 siblings. She moved to Minneapolis after high school where she met her husband, Robert. They married in 1960 and started their family. When the children were grown, she worked as a Workers’ Comp Adjuster Supervisor for State Fund Mutual Insurance Company.

Barb was known for her kind, loving, generous spirit and her deep devotion to her family. She enjoyed hosting gatherings at her home, traveling, spending the winters in Gulf Shores Alabama, playing tennis, bridge, and bingo, especially when she won. She took much joy in sharing her ‘free table’ treasures with those she loved.

Barb will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Robert; children, Cheryl (Dwight) Thomas, Curt (Patti), and Alan (Jill); sister, Mary (Ron) Swanson; grandchildren, Laura (Matt), Kevin, Rachelle (Andy), Jeremiah (Gabrielle), Alanna, Drew, and Zachary (Allie); 8 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave., Edina. Visitation is from 1:00 to 2:00. Service is at 2:00 followed by a reception.
