Jeffrey Andrew Tweten, 74, of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on March 21, 2026.


Jeff was born on February 13, 1952, in Hibbing, Minnesota, to Arthur and Florence Tweten, who preceded him in death.


Jeff dedicated his career to industrial sales with Rockmount Research, where he was highly respected for his outstanding service, deep knowledge of welding, and unwavering commitment to his customers.


He is survived by his high school sweetheart and beloved wife, Colleen, of 53 years, who lovingly cared for him until the end; his children, Michelle (Darin) and Jeff (Cheryl); and his grandchildren, Abigail, Zachary, Kiersten, and Alex. He is also survived by his brothers, Art (Lisa), Brad, and Duane (Connie).


Jeff was known for his outgoing and friendly personality. He was a strong advocate for land rights and small business. One of his proudest projects was overseeing and advocating for the creation of the McQuade Safe Harbor along Scenic Highway 61 on the North Shore. He was an avid reader of nutrition, history, and geopolitics. Jeff had a deep love for music and profound lyrics. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, his gardens, and creating in the kitchen. 


He will be remembered for his smile, his sense of humor, his desire for excellence, and his willingness to help others.


A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Cast Iron Bar & Grill in Duluth.
