Bruce Alton Whiting, born September 23, 1944, in Minot, North Dakota, to Ella (Hauf) and Howard Whiting, passed away on March 25, 2026, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He married Barbara Miller on December 15, 1994, who preceded him in death.

Bruce was a dedicated track and field coach in North Dakota and later worked with Minnesota Special Olympics, where he made a lasting impact on many athletes and colleagues.

He is survived by his loving family and many friends, especially within the track and field community. Services will be held at a later date.
