Gerald William Lang Obituary
Gerald “Jerry” William Lang
After nearly 92 years of measuring twice and cutting once, Jerry finished his final project and went to meet our Lord on March 23, 2026.
Jerry was born in Donald, WI to Theresa and John. He was the youngest of 5 children. Jerry was the family’s master builder and fixer. He had the ability to make or fix just about anything. He leaves his family with more than a collection of tools; he leaves them with the knowledge that they are capable, prepared, and are never truly on their own.
His professional life was spent at Decca records in Minneapolis and then for KP Industries. His “fun” job as he would say was working for Mount Carmel Ministries In Alexandria, MN, where he did camp maintenance. His home was a living gallery of his two great passions, his clock collection and his workshop.
He has gone to join his beloved wife, Janice, and son, Joseph (Linda), who both preceded him in death, along with his parents, three brothers, and sister. His legacy of strength and patience lives on in his daughter, Pauline (Loren), grandchildren, and great grandchildren. While his workshop is now quiet and his clocks have been wound for the last time, the foundation he laid remains as sturdy as the oak he so loved to work with. His work is finished and the time is now exactly as it should be.
Thank you to Guardian Angels in Elk River and Triniti Hospice for your care and compassion to Jerry over the last 6 months.
