Virginia Ruth Nine Voth Bentson
Passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026 at Maplewood Assisted Living at the age of 97.
She was a resident of Maplewood, Minnesota.
Virginia was born on January 1, 1929, in New Virginia, Iowa. She was the loving daughter of
Mary Agnes McAuley and Ray Clinton Nine.
She studied at St. Paul Bible College, MN and worked as a missionary and homemaker in
Argentina for 62 years.
Virginia was a long time member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, and later became
a member of the Christian Renewal Movement. Once retired, she became a member of First
Covenant Church St. Paul, MN.
Virginia had a great passion for singing and was well known as an excellent soprano
soloist. She helped plant 4 churches alongside her first husband Myron Voth. Another of her
passions was baking and loved to share her recipes with women in the churches where she
attended. She loved listening to people and helping them in any way she could. Many people
commented on her kindness toward them and of her loving heart.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands: Dean Myron Voth and Keith Bentson.
Virginia is survived by her children: Steve, Richard, Patricia and Tomas. (spouses:
Mariel, Victoria, Osvaldo and Laura) - Her grandchildren: Sebastian, Andres, Matias,
Julian, Francine, Ryan and Matteo - Her great-grandchildren: Maximilian, Stefan, Luna,
Lucia, Luciano, Acacia and Lorenzo.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday May 9th, 2026 at 2:00 pm, at
First Covenant Church, 1280 Arcade St., St. Paul, MN 55106
