Elizabeth June “Betty” Weatherby, 101, of Duluth, MN, born on January 27, 1925, died peacefully on March 17, 2026. She loved with all of her heart and was loved in return. She was kind, generous, and pragmatic. Her door was always open and everyone was welcome. Her wisdom made her a valued mentor and guide for many. She wanted everyone to know, “I loved them all equally, each and every one, in their own way.”

Betty graduated from Duluth Central High School in 1943 and stayed active with her graduating class’s Reunion Committee until she was about 93. After graduation, she worked for the FBI in Washington D.C. She married Peter Andreiko in 1947 and they raised their six children in St. Paul. They were married 21 years. She worked at the Duluth Herald & News Tribune for 18 years and retired as Classifieds Manager. She married Richard (Dick) Weatherby in 1977 and they were married 33 wonderful years until his passing in 2010.  She enjoyed traveling the US and Caribbean islands extensively with her loving husband, Dick, growing vegetables and sustaining beautiful houseplants, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, spending time with her beloved family and friends, reading a variety of novels, doing crossword puzzles, and playing cribbage.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Sass Dahl Williams and George Allen Dahl; first husband, Peter Andreiko; beloved second husband, Dick Weatherby; sister Joyce (Jim) Donaldson, brother George Albert (Dorothy) Dahl; daughters Jeanne Andreiko, Maegi Andreiko, and Barb Andreiko.

Betty is survived by her dearly beloved family; daughters Patricia/Patty O’Leary and Marilyn Andreiko-Harper, and son, Peter (Michelle) Andreiko; stepchildren Paul (Kris) Weatherby, Perry (Linda) Weatherby, Suzy Weatherby, and Scott (Terri) Weatherby; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews and their children all over the country.

Visitation: 3:00 pm until the 4:00 pm service on Thursday, April 2, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave Duluth, MN.
