Lois Kreye Obituary
Lois Kreye
1942 – 2026
Lois Kreye, a woman of deep faith, music, and boundless energy, passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 83. Originally from Seneca, PA, and a long-time resident of Littleton, CO, Lois most recently resided in Minnesota.
A proud 1960 graduate of Cranberry High School, Lois earned her degree from Slippery Rock University in 1964. She began her career sharing her love of movement as a physical education teacher in the Cleveland Public Schools. Later in life, she returned to the workforce, bringing her kindness and dedication to the medical and dental fields.
Music was the heartbeat of Lois’s life. For many years, she was a fixture in her church communities—including Good Hope, Shepherd of the Valley, Shepherd of the Rockies, Peace, Holy Cross, Ascension, and Our Savior Lutheran Churches. Whether she was serving as an accompanist or a choir participant, her talent was a gift to every congregation she touched.
Lois has been reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, George; her brother, James Blum; her parents, Philip and Henrietta; and her great-grandson, Elias Briscoe.
Her legacy of love lives on through her three daughters, Angela (Christian) Bode, Gail (Pete) Raether, and Allison (Jeremy) Potts. She was the cherished grandmother of 15 and a doting great-grandmother to three (with a fourth soon to arrive). she will also be deeply missed by her dear cousin, Beverly Suhr, and many other loving family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Lutheran Family Services, an organization close to Lois’s heart
