Janet Anna "Jan" Eveslage (Rosen) Obituary

Janet Ana (Rosen) Eveslage passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 82. She was a resident of Eagan Minnesota. Born on June 23, 1943, in Freeport Minnesota, she was the loving daughter of Bernard and Hildegard (Wensman) Rosen. Jan was a proud graduate of Staples High School, class of 1961, and remained best friends with Jean (Lenk) Backstrom, living together before her marriage and speaking on the phone for hours every day until she could no longer communicate well via telephone.

During her lifetime Jan worked for Peavey Companies, was an at home daycare provider in South Minneapolis, and worked in the replenishment department for Sears Robuck and Company both at their Lake Street and Mall of America stores before retiring. However, the real job Jan loved the most was that of being a wife to Jerry, and a mother to her 2 daughters followed by a grandmother to the light of her life Mollee. Jan was proud of her children in all of their accomplishments and encouraged them to be anything they could dream, and not to let anything hold them back. Jan knew from early on that Mollee was going to go places during her lifetime- literally- she was directionally savvy from the age of 18 months being able to provide directions to Pops and Grammie when they’d taken a wrong turn in their car. She loved watching Mollee grow and strengthen as a young lady as well as a competitive swimmer. Jan was a woman of faith instilling these values in her family. She was also a big supporter of Children’s causes unbeknownst to her family until a few years ago.

Jan’s favorite thing to do was spend time with her family and friends, whether having dinner, making a weekend of it, celebrating a birthday, anniversary or traveling the country. She spent a great amount of time reading books, making greeting cards when stamping was the thing to do and loved playing BUNKO with her Shakopee neighbors, as well as an avid card player with her family whenever given the opportunity. She was also a member of the America Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Group.

Preceded in death: by her loving husband Jerome Lawrence Eveslage, her parents Bernard and Hildegard Rosen, Son in Law- Allan Benjamin Kirschner, along with many brothers and sister in laws.

Survived by Daughters: Julie Eveslage (Jacksonville, FL) and Jennel Eveslage (Eagan, MN) son in love James R.
