Deborah “Debbie” Jean (Christ) Edlund, 64, of St. Paul, MN passed away peacefully on January 31st, 2026.

Debbie was born on February 3rd, 1961 to Connie and Jerry Christ in St. Paul, MN. Debbie was a lifelong St. Paul native, having graduated from Harding High School, later in life moving back to the same street she grew up on.

Debbie married the love of her life, Kirk, in 1981, where they soon had their two children, Alison and Aaron.

Debbie was her husband and children’s biggest cheerleader and supporter. She excelled at comforting others, being a great listener and making people laugh. She welcomed close friends as family. She was well-known for the plethora of nicknames she would give, not only to her family and friends, but also to her pets.

Debbie and Kirk shared so many adventures throughout her life, but traveling to California and Florida were places she looked forward to spending time with him the most. She loved the tradition of going up to her “peaceful place”, Lake Kabetogama, to fish for walleye, a tradition held since she was a child and has now been passed down to her children and grandchildren. She was a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings, where she’d cheer so loud you could hear her from blocks away. She loved all living things, but her pets held a special place in her heart. Above all, Debbie loved her entire family more than anything else, especially her grandchildren.

Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Connie and Jerry Christ; and sister-in-law Sheri Christ. Debbie is survived by her husband, Kirk Edlund; children Alison (Daniel) Bierschank, Aaron (Kendra) Edlund; grandchildren Heidi Bierschank, Ethan Bierschank, and Jayden Edlund; siblings: Colleen (Gail), Jim (Janet), and Steve Christ; sister-in-law Chris (Brian) Wegner; mother-in-law Pat Edlund; Aunts Mary Lou Pirkl and Debby Mulvihill; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and honorary son Jacob (Katelyn) Story.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 28th at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 1979 Old Hudson Road, St. Paul, MN 55119, with visitation beginning at 10am.
