David Lloyd Ross, age 86, of Bloomington, MN passed away on February 22, 2026 after a brief illness. David is survived by his loving wife Shirley of 63 years; children, Stacy Ross (Steve) and David Ross (Kimberly); grandchildren Rachel Baird (Jake), Ryan Botten (Kari), and Ashley Kirchner (Nick); great grandsons Jayson and Dexter Botten, brother John Ross and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nell Ross, and his sister Katherine Gustafson (Dick).

David attended Minneapolis Vocational High School and Dunwoody Industrial Institute, and then served in the U.S. Marine Air Reserve. His career began at Northern Pacific Railroad, and later worked in the transportation industry at Interstate Motor Freight, LaSalle Cartage, Ryder Truck Lines, and Yellow Freight. David and Shirley enjoyed their cabin in Western Wisconsin and later became snowbirds in Venice Florida.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 28, 2026, at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave S, Edina MN, 55435. Visitation from 1:00-3:00 with the eulogy being read at 2:00 PM. David will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
