David Richard Kairis passed away peacefully on February 26, with his wife by his side, at the age of 77.

He was born on December 2, 1948 to Joseph & Mary Kairis in Racine, WI. In 2002 he was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Roberta Kairis of Reedsburg, WI and they resided in St. Paul, MN.

During his high school years David was a member of the Drum & Bugle Corp in Racine WI. David went on to college at the UW Madison where he also enjoyed his time as the coxswain on the Madison WI rowing team. He later graduated from River Falls college in horticulture.

David was employed by JR Johnson, Milwaukee, WI and MDM Distributing in MN where he was a fertilizer and plant salesman.

David loved to go fishing and sailing. He was most at peace on the water and enjoyed a good sunset.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Mary; brothers Al, Don & Ray Kairis; In-laws, Robert & Dorothy Meyer; brother-in-law, Rodney Meyer; sister-in-laws, Wanda Brethorst and Judy Meyer and nephew, Randall Norling.

David is survived by his wife Roberta; his brother Jim (Sandy) Kairis; sister-in-laws, Barb Kairis, Nancy Kairis, Linda (Evan) Meyer, Sue Gregerson; brother-in-laws, David Meyer, Jerry Meyer, Don (Brenda) Meyer, Craig (Deb) Meyer, Bill Brethorst; nieces, Linda Kairis, Kristen (Mark) Speer, Debbie (Mark) Popelish, Patty (Shayne) Olson, Lisa Falbo, Jenny (Aaron) Cunningham, Jamie (Jason) Meister, Courtney (Ryan) Donovan, Jenna Gregerson, Meghan (Tyler) Gronbeck; nephews, Peter (Erica) Kairis, Bill Kairis, Mike (Gale) Kairis, Mark (Thelma) Kairis, Jim (Deanne) Falbo, Chance (Sara) Mueller, Dustin (Becky) Meyer, Isaac (Katie) Meyer; along with great nieces & nephews; Payton, Sawyer, Cooper, Harper, Hudson, Braelynn, Reagan, Torin, Livia, Isabelle, Oaklynn, Rowan, Theo, Lea, Elena, Aria, Zachery, Kaitlin, Matthew, Kristy, Tiffani; dear friends; Dave & Mary Wiebusch, Ken Galeo & Bunny, Steve & Becky Grabsky.

His wife, Roberta, will forever miss his smile, gentleness, and compassion.

A memorial service will take place later in Spring.
