Lisa Giguere 1967 – 2026
Lisa Giguere, 58, of St. Paul, MN, passed away on February 21, 2026, from injuries sustained in a tragic accident on February 16. Lisa was a woman of remarkable strength whose life was defined by her deep love for her daughter and her unwavering commitment to helping others.
Born and raised in Hillsborough, NH. At 21, she met David Giguere, and the two were married on October 1, 1988. Lisa and David moved to the Twin Cities where they built their life.Though they later divorced in 2003, they remained connected through their daughter, Danelle Dolsen. Lisa often shared that her greatest God-given gift and proudest achievement was being a mother to Danelle.
Lisa’s life was marked by both challenges and profound purpose. In her own journey with addiction, she became a beacon of hope for many young women facing similar struggles. Serving as a confidante and leader, she naturally stepped into a motherly role for those she mentored, offering them the same fierce compassion she held for her own daughter.
She had recently returned to the Twin Cities with bright plans for the future, including starting a new career and her dream of adopting a senior shelter dog. Lisa's final act of generosity was as an organ donor, providing the gift of life to others in need.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Judith and Theodore Holley. She is survived by her daughter, Danelle Dolsen (Damion); her brother, Greg Holley (Missy); her nieces; and a wide circle of friends who were touched by her spirit.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to local recovery programs or animal shelters in Lisa’s honor.
