Marva Jean Strand, 90, died peacefully and courageously into the arms of Jesus on February 25, 2026, at her home. From a train depot in Illinois to a house on stilts in Trinidad, to cabins in the northwoods and home in White Bear Lake, she lived her life caring for others. Preceded in death by her husband and best friend Bob, parents Marvin Carter and Letha and Bill Troness. Survived by treasured daughters Bobbi (Mike) Belz and Tami (Ron) Hamilton, 7 very lucky grandchildren (Shannon, Mike, Nathalie, Jack, Shane, Danny and Samantha) and 12 great-grandchildren, her sisters Donna and Sharon, her sweet dog, Sophie, and many special relatives and friends.
