Marion Martin (Bon Bon) was born in historic Glasgow, Scotland. She moved and spent her final days as a beloved resident of St. Paul. She departed this life on February 23, 2026. She was 75.
Marion passed away peacefully from complications from dementia. She was surrounded by loved ones.
Marion is survived by her children, daughter/caregiver Lorna Martin, who took care of her until her final days, daughter Natalie (John) Satter, Sons James Ryle, and Douglas Gillies and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Peter and Marion Martin, sister Janet, cousin James, brother-in-law Neil and best friend Lorna.
Marion moved to Minnesota from Glasgow, Scotland in 1972. She was a strong, independent Glaswegian. She raised her children as a single mother. She was loved by all, especially her friends, family and members at the YMCA in downtown St. Paul where she worked for years.
A Time of Gathering will be held Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 1979 Old Hudson Road, St. Paul, MN 55119.
