John Allen Boler (75 years old)

1950 - 2026

His parents were Wilbur A. Boler and Dorothy Holland Boler. His siblings James Boler (Sandra), Bill Boler (Jackie) and Barb Boler Warner. He had numerous nieces and nephews and would call everyone he knew on their birthday to sing Happy Birthday. 

Visually impaired since his birth, John was a musically gifted and caring person.  He “saw” and understood things many of us don’t. Dot and Bill were wonderful parents and taught him a lot of important things. Life wasn’t always easy for John or his family, but he was loved and loved others, 

John graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University. He worked at Opportunity Workshop and Interact Center for the Visual and Performing Arts. At Interact he performed locally and also for special education teachers nationally and internationally.

A follower of Jesus, John read and meditated on Bible chapters and verses every day. He had perfect pitch and played the piano and the autoharp.  He enjoyed coming to Naples Fl with his parents, summer weeks at a resort near Park Rapids MN (Rest Haven), and weeks at Camp Courage. Green was his favorite color.

A celebration of John’s life will be held on Saturday, May 2, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota Waterston Chapel, 4343 Nicollet Ave South, Minneapolis MN 55409. Visitation at 1:00 pm and a service at 2:00 pm with a reception following. If you have something green you might wear it on that day.
