Donna Jean (Doble) Collard, July 12, 1949 - February 8, 2026 

Donna Jean Collard, age 76 passed away peacefully at Essentia Health surrounded by her family. 

Donna was a graduate of Morgan Park High School; she went on to further her education in the nursing field working at Nopeming. 

Dedicating herself to caring for others throughout her life, Donna was best known in the community for the many cherished years she spent as a “lunch lady” at Stowe School. She had a natural gift for connecting with children, and her warm smile and kind heart left a lasting impression on generations of students. 

Family was the center of Donna’s world. Her greatest joy came from her husband of 56 years, Jim, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

She treasured time spent fishing, boating around the lake, working on puzzles, playing games and gathering with loved ones at the family cabin on Sturgeon Lake. 

Donna loved her yard especially the swing which she would watch the squirrels, rabbits and birds congregate around her bird feeders along with her hummingbirds. 

Donna was proceeded in death by her parents, Renee and Wesley Doble; her sister Sharon Dillion; and her beloved grandson, Jayden Haavisto. 

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jim; sons, Jason (Angie) and Kevin; grandchildren, Jacob, Anna, Mikaylee, and Emmi Baker, great-grandchildren, Jaxton and Asher, brother Steven Doble 

A memorial service will be held March 7, 2026, with visitation at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00AM, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth MN.
