Shirley Mae Mau (Hoiland), age 85, of Prior Lake, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Elva; sisters, Marilyn and Carol; and brother, Clarence (Bud).

Shirley is survived by her husband, John Mau; daughters, Kelly Hastings (Greg) and Tiffany Pierskalla (Russ); grandchildren, David, Christine, Bailey (Dakota), and Quinn; and great-grandchild, Macsen.

She was known for her beautiful smile and warm heart. Shirley enjoyed winters in Palm Springs with John, but home with her family was where she was happiest, often humming or singing while she busied herself around the house. In her later years, Alzheimer’s slowly took her sense of home, and her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held Friday, April 24th, 2026 at Hope Presbyterian Church, 7132 Portland Avenue South, Richfield, MN. Visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, with service at 11:00 AM and reception to follow.
