age 84 of Green Isle, MN passed away February 22, 2026 surrounded by family. Born in Jesseland Township, Minnesota. Retired from Silgan Containers, Savage Minnesota. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Palma; daughter, Kay (Steven) Quast; grandchildren, Anthony (Teylor) Quast, Justin Quast, Mackenzie (Cole) Scott, Dillion (fiance Ruth) Quast; great grandchildren; Kinsley, Gavin, Chase, Reginald, Oskar, Alayna, Soulene, and Santos; Siblings, Ellard (Deb) Winter, Janice (Keith) Berndt; brother-in-law, Richard Dahlke; many nieces and nephews. 

Preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Tina Winter; brothers, Orlin and Hilbert Winter; sister, Darlene Dahlke; in-laws, Orville and Hazel Stier; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Pastor Don and Marjorie Schoeppler. 

***Due to storm warnings, The Celebration of Life has been rescheduled to Saturday, March 28th, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Church 414 Westgate Drive, Winsted. A prayer service will be held at 1:30 pm with lunch following.***
