Nancy J. Carlson, age 98 of Duluth died Wednesday, Feb. 11th at Viewcrest Health Center. She was born Nancy Richards in Escanaba, Michigan on June 21, 1927 to Arthur and Helen Richards. She grew up in Escanaba and later moved to Duluth where she attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing.

Nancy Married Raymond Carlson in 1951 and they raised 3 sons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond and a brother Bill Richards.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Brien (Erica) Carlson of Duluth, Steven (Cathy) Carlson of Norman, Oklahoma, and David (Sharon) Carlson of Escondido, California. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 nieces.

Nancy worked at Miller Dwan Hospital in Duluth where she retired from in 1986. She will be interred with her beloved husband Raymond at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. There will be a graveside service at that time. Nancy will be greatly missed.
