Michael Krzyska

Michael Frank Krzyska was a man of integrity, kindness, quiet humor and love.  He passed away on February 13, 2026.  He was 78 years old. 

Mike was born on December 9, 1947, the first son of Frank and Alice (Quittem) Krzyska.  He was a sweet, wonderful baby and as he grew he maintained his innate goodness.

Mike graduated from Minneapolis Central High School in 1965.  He attended Augsburg College and eventually transferred to Dunwoody School of Technology to acquire a degree in Computer Science.  He was hired by Honeywell and moved to Kansas City in 1969.  Later he moved to Salt Lake City and as part of his job traveled to many foreign countries.  One of his job contracts was with the USA Armed Forces in Hawaii.  He lived there for a few years and it became his favorite place to live.

Mike excelled at sports.  He was a star player on his high school basketball team.  He loved bowling and bowled many 300 games.  He was passionate about golf in the summer and skiing in the winter.  As his health declined he turned to other pursuits.  He researched family history, became involved with mind-challenging games and puzzles.  He remained an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Alice Krzyska, his brother William Krzyska. and son, Thomas.  He is survived by three daughters:  Kelly (Nate Twitchell) Krzyska, Brittany (Joe) Cowdell, and Stephanie (Drew) McDannold;  grandchildren:  Hayden, Hudson and Hannah Cowdell, and Colin McDannold;  sisters:  Jeanne Pinc, Karen Krzyska and Kathleen Krzsyka; four nieces, two nephews, two grand-nieces and seven grand-nephews;  many cousins and friends. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday June 19, 2026 from noon-3:00 pm at Lutheran Church of the Master, 1200- 69th Avenue North Brooklyn Center Minnesota 55430.

Michael – Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Friend – he will be missed by all.  May he dwell with God and his quiet and loving spirit reside with all of us.
