With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life well lived, we celebrate the homegoing of a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a devoted woman of faith whose life reflected her deep love for the Lord, her family, and all who knew her. Her quiet strength, gentle spirit, and unwavering trust in God were an inspiration to many.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Garlon; her parents, William and Inez Shutt; three brothers, Dick, Earl, and Dennis; and four sisters, Myrtle Berger, Erma Lane, Cathy St. Mane, and Phylis Wurst.
She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love that will continue through her children: sons Eugene, Robert (Vicki), and Pat (Marcia); and daughter Lynette Rainer (Joe). She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy. She is also survived by her dear sister, Wilma Jensen.
Her family was her greatest blessing, and she poured her heart into praying for them, encouraging them, and pointing them toward Christ. Though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16 from 9:00-10:00am followed by a 10:00am service at Eagle Brook Church White Bear Lake Campus, 2401 Buffalo St, White Bear Lake, MN 55110, followed by a luncheon at American Legion Hugo Post 620, 5383 140th St N, Hugo, MN 55038.
