Bernice Ruth Easler, age 86, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 15, 2026, in Hugo, Minnesota.

Born on June 10, 1939, in Spring Valley, Minnesota, Bernice grew up with her sister, Geneva, and attended a one-room schoolhouse through 8th grade before graduating from Chatfield High School. It was there she met her future husband, Gary, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. They married on April 9, 1960, raised their children Cathy and Steve in Crystal, and later made their forever home in Maple Grove.

Bernice worked as a beautician early in life and later joined Gary at Honeywell, spending 17 years on the assembly line. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society, where she formed many cherished friendships.

Above all, Bernice was devoted to her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than being involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her loyalty, kindness, compassion, and unwavering love—qualities felt deeply by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Pauline Miland; sister, Geneva; husband, Gary; and children, Catherine and Steven.

Bernice is survived by her beloved grandchildren, James (Rachel) Easler, Alaira Easler, and Mary Falvey; great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Raydon; daughter-in-law Trisha Falvey; as well as nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

A funeral service will be held on February 28, 2026, at Shepherd of the Grove Lutheran Church, 11875 W Eagle Lake Dr., Maple Grove, MN. Visitation begins at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. 

Burial will take place at a later date with family.
