SMITH, Darlene Charlotte (Widmer), age 84, of Minneapolis, passed away on January 31st, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Enga Widmer, and her husband of 53 years, James Herbert Smith. She will be deeply missed by her children, James N.G. (Martha), Jonathan S.O., and Kathryn E.L. Smith; grandchildren, Tara Colletti, A.J. Colletti, Logan Smith, Nia Smith, Sebastian White, Lukas and James Smith, Leo Smith; many relatives and good friends. Celebration of Life will be at 11am, Saturday, May 30th at Discover Church, 1400 81st Avenue N, Brooklyn Park. Visitation at church 1 hour before service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to American Cancer Society and Disabled American Veterans.
