Mark Sobtzak, born on November 9, 1963, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, passed away on February 7, 2026, in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was 62 years old.

Mark brought joy and warmth to those around him with his ever‑present smile and infectious laughter. Whether sharing a joke or simply enjoying the moment, he had a way of making people feel at ease and welcome in his presence.

A devoted fan of Minnesota sports, Mark loved cheering on the Vikings and the Wild. His enthusiasm for the game was matched only by the joy he found in sharing those moments with others.

Mark is survived by his siblings Denise (Ed) Lutz, Teri Sobtzak, Tracy Magler, and Brian Sobtzak, as well as his nieces, nephews, and great‑nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Ruth Sobtzak, daughter Betsy, sibling Deedre Fontaine and brother‑in‑law Bill Fontaine.
