David Michael Ball, aged 58, passed away on February 4, 2026, at his home in Columbia Heights, MN. Born in 1967 to John and Camille Ball, David grew up in Maple Grove and attended Osseo High School. He was a Tri-Captain and All-Conference lineman for the 1985 Oriole Varsity Football team. He later earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota.
Known to many as a "wild and crazy" guy, David was also an avid video gamer. He was an extremely hard worker and dedicated many years to his career as a landscaper.
David is survived by his children, Mara and Kent; his siblings, Denice (Keith) Winegar, Nancy Schmit, and John Ball; and his ex-wife, Fumi Ball.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Cremation Society of MN, located at 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park. Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Humane Society or Wine to Water, an organization David supported because he believed everyone deserves access to clean water.
