Beverly Ann (Balgaard) Bonkoski, of Farmington, MN, passed away on January 28, 2026.

Beverly was born on May 8, 1946, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, to Melvin Albert Balgaard and Gladys Viola (Bergan) Balgaard. She attended grade school in Evansville, Minnesota, and graduated from Evansville High School in 1964. She later graduated from the School of Business in 1966 with a degree in accounting.

Beverly worked as a bookkeeper for Schweigert Meat Company and Knox Reeves Advertising.

Beverly met Robert Arthur Herman Bonkoski of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, and on November 18, 1967, they were married in Evansville, Minnesota, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned 57 years. Beverly worked until the birth of their first child, Julie, on September 9, 1968. Twins Jennifer and James were born on July 21, 1971.

Beverly was deeply involved in her church, where she lovingly sewed altar cloths, wall banners, and other hand-stitched pieces. Her favorite crafts included sewing, Hardanger, and counted cross-stitch, many of which decorated the walls of her home and were shared with loved ones.

She had a lifelong love of cats and cared for many throughout the years. Beverly enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings, working on jigsaw puzzles, and reading Mary Higgins Clark novels.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bonkoski; her parents, Melvin and Gladys (Bergan) Balgaard; and her siblings Luverne, Marvin, Dennis, Roger, and Truman Balgaard, and Elvina Schroeder.

Beverly is survived by her three children: Julie Bonkoski of Minneapolis, Minnesota; James (Nikki) Bonkoski of Rosemount, Minnesota; and Jennifer (Brian) Lee of Bradenton, Florida; her grandchildren Hazel and Sawyer Bonkoski, and Nicholas and Jeremy Lee; and her brother, Ronald Balgaard of Alexandria, Minnesota.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Robert, whom she missed deeply.
