Stanley Clay Hundley departed this life January 5, 2026 at Minneapolis, Minnesota. Stanley was born August 27, 1960 at Parsons, Kansas, to Mary Ann (Knapp) and Samuel Jay Hundley.

Stan was preceded in death by his Mother, Mary Ann and his Grandparents.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Gale, granddaughters Brayden and Bayla Thomas, his father Samuel Jay Hundley (Dawn Joan Kaiser), his siblings, Sharon Kay Hundley (Eric Kvittem), Steven Jay Hundley (Erin Maher) and Sonja Van Erdewyk (John) as well as nieces and nephews.

Stanley graduated from Chantilly High School in Fairfax, Virginia.

Stan enjoyed varied and interesting careers. Early in his career, he traveled to England to install a telecommunications tower, an experience he really enjoyed. Stan also worked as a brake linesman on the Union Pacific Railroad based in Cheyenne, Wyoming. His career included working for local commercial and residential electrical unions. One project involved the installation of power substations for a major steel project. Another project was working in the middle of a cold MN winter on the install of huge wind turbines. Stanley enjoyed and took pride in his electrical work.

Anyone who had the chance to know Stanley quickly learned there was no stranger to him. Stan enjoyed getting to know people and was always willing to help others, whether it be shoveling your sidewalk, getting rid of dead squirrels, fixing a switch that wasn’t working correctly, giving people rides to work, or helping out someone in need. He enjoyed warm sunny weather, especially when he lived near the water in Florida and had his own fishing boat, which he would take out as often as possible

Stanley’s smile is what we will always remember. It was contagious and always present.

A celebration of his life will be held February 28, 2026, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, Edina, Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue, Edina, MN. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm, with a celebration of life at 2:00 pm.
