William Kubat, 89, of North Branch, MN died Monday January 19, 2026 peacefully in his sleep.

William was born in Saint Paul, MN, on Oct. 16, 1936, the son of Russdell and Florence (Virsen) Kubat. He married the love of his life, Jacqueline Mabel Schuneman on March 31, 1956.

William served in the United States Navy.

After serving he worked several different jobs from factory worker, electriation, and maintenance. His true passion was having his own fabrication business which he did until retirement. In retirement he enjoyed working in his yard, gardening and making crafts.

The last one and half years of his life he resided at Ecumen Assisted Living where he made many friends.

He is survived by his children, Tony (Kayea) Kubat, Vickie (Mike Turner) Kubat, Kevin (Sue) Kubat, Debbie Eisenschent, Gary (Dawn) Kubat, seven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at Ecumen, North Branch, MN on Saturday, February 7th from 2:00 - 5:00.

Visitation - 2:00, Memorial Service - 3:00, Luncheon - 4:00.
