David Eugene Ebert, age 86, passed away on January 23, 2026

Preceded in death by parents, Eugene Ebert and Ann Gibson, and sister Patrica Frankenfield.

Survived by son, Duane Ebert; grandson, Duane Hamilton Jr.; and two great-grandchildren. Son, Steven Ebert and his spouse, Consuelo, and granddaughter, McKenzie Ebert. Daughter, Lisa Ebert and granddaughter, Rachael Ebert. Daughter, Jennifer and her spouse, Mike Benavidez, and two grandchildren, Sophia and Jonah Benavidez.

Survived by his sisters; Carol Scheid, Joyce Dupont, Judith Ebert, Pamela de Leon; his brother, Edward Gibson, brother-in-law, Robert Frankenfield, and many nieces & nephews. 

Dave spent most of his life in Minnesota, where he worked as both a barber and a truck driver. He had a deep love for life on the road and often shared how much he missed trucking after retiring. Dave enjoyed tinkering and fixing things, watching wrestling and NCIS, fishing from his boat, and playing cards.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to People Incorporated.  In accordance with his wishes, no funeral service will be held.
