In Memoriam

Gail Jo Sabasko’s beautiful soul departed this earth on Monday, January 12, 2025. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Gail was born on June 28, 1952, and was raised in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated with a BSW from Augsburg College in St. Paul, MN, and went on to pursue her master’s degree at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA.

She was a devoted friend who freely and compassionately shared wisdom beyond her years. She could never turn away from someone in need. Gail enjoyed a world filled with animal companions, music, and dancing to great R&B tunes. She participated in triathlons, ran the Twin Cities marathon, skated with a women’s hockey team, played league softball, and was as a lifeguard.

As a student of Buddhism, a Zen master bestowed upon her the Dharma name "Jewelled Fountain" Her warmth, grace, and beautiful smile were magnetic. To be in her company was truly a gift.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Larson, and her father, Wally Sabasko.

Gail was greatly loved and cherished by her family: Leslie Scaramuzzo, Mary Sweeney, and Scott Bradley. May her gentle spirit know eternal peace in God’s embrace.
