Obituary of Barbara "Barb" Sue Ruhl

Barbara (Barb) Sue Ruhl, age 75 of Bloomington, MN passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026.  She was born in Webster City, IA and spent her childhood in Bloomington, MN.

At 18, she set off for California, started a family and forever fell in love with the ocean, sand, and live music. Later, she returned to Bloomington to rejoin her family. Barb lived her life loving, caring, and having fun with others.

She is survived by daughter Melissa (Matthew) Legg, grandsons Ethan, Tyler, Bennett, Bradyn, Trent, and Cooper J. Brothers Brian (Barbara) Ruhl, Bradley (Lynn) Ruhl, Brent (Christine) Ruhl, and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by daughter Jennifer Youngdahl and brother William T. Ruhl.    

Barb lived unabashedly as herself, never met a stranger, and fiercely embodied "ALL ARE WELCOME".
