Iris "Joyce" Layeux, age 85, loving mother and grandmother, passed away on January 19, 2026 at Personal Care Senior Living in Columbia Heights, MN. She was born on Valentines day, February 14, 1940 in Minneapolis to her parents, Rueben and Iris Stenhoff.  Joyce grew up in New Brighton and attended Mounds View High School. She was married to Donald Layeux in 1961 at the age of 21 years.  She made quick friends and a living working at FMC, Land-O-Lakes, and Health Partners during her career. Joyce was a regular member of Grace Church in Roseville.  The proudest titles she held were Mother and Grandmother and she devoted her life to the well being of her family.  Her love for Jesus Christ and her love for her family guided her life and purpose.  She is receded in death by parents (Iris and Rueben Stenhoff) and brothers (Jerome and Greg Stenhoff).  Survived by, Siblings: Roger, Sheryl, Fayeth, Patricia, and Beverly; Daughter, Cheri Abbott (Rick); Grandchildren, Ashley & Evan, Whitney & Zachary, Zachary, Alexandra & Joey, Amanda, Caitlyn & Mike, Riley, Joshua, Isabella, Avery, Aiden, and Jack; Great-grandchildren: Olivia, Zoey, Carsen, Casey, Sloane, David, Henry, and Evangeline; many relatives and good friends.  Visitation 1 hour before service.  Celebration of Life 11am Friday, February 13, 2026 at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park.  Private interment.  She will be deeply missed.
