Brad A. Johnson
Born on December 14th, 1954, in St. Paul, MN, Brad was the youngest of five children and the son of Clem and Ellen Johnson. He attended Harding High School, where he excelled in both football and hockey, proudly competing in the state hockey tournament, and graduated in 1973. He went on to play hockey for the St. Paul Vulcan’s semi-pro team, and football at Lakewood Community College, where he also earned his associate’s degree.
Brad dedicated 30 years of service to the City of St. Paul with the Parks and Recreation Department. He was a longtime resident of St. Paul before settling in Lino Lakes. He was known for his strong work ethic, steady presence, and instinctive willingness to help whenever needed.
Brad had a passion for fishing and hunting. He found joy in helping and supporting his family—whether he was cutting down trees, offering a hand with projects, or cheering from the stands at countless games and meets. He was the biggest fan of his nieces, nephews, and their children, and supported them whenever he could.
Brad is survived by his four siblings: Karen (Cordell) Guse, Bruce (Jan) Johnson, Buck (Theresa) Johnson, and Kathy (Bill) Johnson; along with 11 nieces and nephews, 25 great-nieces and great-nephews, and many cousins.
His family will have a small, private gathering to honor his memory.
