Obituary of Joyce June Heikenen

Joyce J Heikenen, age 99, passed away peacefully at Sunrise of Edina.

Born in Cloquet, MN, Joyce embraced life with enthusiasm,  grace and a consistently positive outlook. She loved golf and bridge, pursuits that reflected both her sharp mind and her enjoyment of time spent with friends. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Arnold Heikenen, and her special friend Gordon Ingwersen, both of whom held enduring places in her heart.

Joyce is survived by her three children: Chuck (Becky), Joy and Jane (Dave); along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought her great pride and joy.

Joyce will be remembered most for her positive attitude and boundless energy. She approached every day - and every challenge - with optimism and warmth, inspiring those around her and leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the extraordinary caretakers at Sunrise of Edina and Brighton Hospice, whose compassion, kindness, and dedication provided exceptional care and comfort in her later years.

Joyce’s life was marked by love, optimism, and the joy that she brought to those around her. If you knew her, you loved her.
