Thomas Mathew Marty, Age 83, passed away on January 1, 2026. His three daughters were by his side.

He was a loving dad, big brother, and proud grandpa.  He loved family celebrations and watching his grandchildren in various activities.  He enjoyed his time with his wife at the cabin, home in Arizona, and going on vacations. He loved being a big brother to his 5 siblings and was always a phone call away.  He kept in contact with Roosevelt High School classmates by attending socials and reunions. His hobbies were arts and crafts such as painting, gourd creations, and fused glass. He was an avid Minnesota Twins fan.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Mathew William and Hazel Marie Marty, and wife, Marilyn. He is survived by sisters Faythe Rich (Kent) and Joy Duggins (Glenn); brothers Tim, Mathew (Paula) and Mark (Sheryl); daughters Cheryl Watson (Bryan), Julie Vandenbrook (Chuck) and Beth Coleman (Thomas); grandchildren: Kyle and Kailey Watson, Michael (Amy) and Elizabeth Vandenbrook and Audrey and Tyler Coleman.

Service will be held at Cremation Society of Minnesota- Minneapolis Chapel on January 17th, 10 AM visitation, 11 AM memorial service and light lunch.

Private Interment at Lakewood Cemetery.

In place of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to a charity of your choice.
