DOUVILLE, Richard Verne, age 75, of Burnsville, previously of Chippewa Falls, Wi - passed away on December 26, 2025 after a arduous and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Despite his medical difficulties, he was a wonderful soul who always made you smile. In his early years, he served in the Army Reserves and improved his education with degrees in Science and Business at UW Stout. A quiet man, Richard was passionate about his Green Bay Packers. He wore the gear proudly and cheered them on. He had a fine appreciation for the poetry of a meal of pizza, banana cake and his ultimate drink, Chocolate Milk. He has lived at Sonshine since 2013 and made many friends there. Richard was born to parents, Verne D. Douville and Joyce A. Douville (Gruner) in Chippewa Falls and they have preceded him in death. He will be deeply missed by his brother, James Douville; niece, Stephanie Douville; cousins, Dwight James, Scott and Joseph Douville; special friend and caregiver, Stephanie Thomas; and many other loving family and good hearted friends. Celebration of Life 1pm Wednesday, January 14th at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue S., Edina Visitation at 12:30pm before service. In honor of Richard's love for HIS team, all are welcome to wear Green Bay Packers gear to the service.
