Harold Hubbard

Harold was born July 14, 1926 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The son of Frank and Esther Hubbard (Olson), Harold received his primary and high school education in Milwaukee, after which he served in the Air Corps in WWII. Harold spent 9 months in Japan as a member of the Army of Occupation.
Harold graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1951.
Harold and Ruth (Lorch) married in 1951 and had two wonderful sons, Eric and Tom (Victoria).
Harold worked as an insurance underwriter for the Ohio Casualty Company. In 1967 the company transferred Harold to the Twin Cities, as the branch manager.
In 1968 Harold took up running at the prodding of friend and neighbor, Milt Bohlen. Harold started with short races and eventually worked up to the marathon. Harold ran 40 marathons, including 10 Boston Marathons. Harold (and Ruth) enjoyed the family which included Eric, Tom (Victoria), Jeremiah (Lisa), Joshua (Stacy), Justin (Samantha); great grandsons, Landon and Caleb; nephew, Craig Hubbard and his wife, Kathy and daughter Kelly.
Harold was a long time member of Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in New Hope.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17th, 2026 with visitation 10:00-11:00 AM, with service at 11:00 AM with lunch to follow, all at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church, 3900 Winnetka Avenue N., New Hope, MN.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Holy Nativity Church is preferred.
