Marvel Anice Johnson passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, at the age of 87 in Lakeville, Minnesota.

Proceeded in death by her husband, Howard Johnson, and sisters, Donna Aldrich and Kathy Gilsrud. Survived by children Rania (Dave) Johnson, Warren (Vickie) Johnson; grandchildren, Timothy, Zachary, Elizabeth, and Emily; great-grandchildren Piper and Dimitri.

Born on August 7, 1938, in Ceylon, Minnesota, Marvel was the daughter of Marvin and Lucile Aldrich. She grew up in southern Minnesota alongside her sisters Donna, Kathy, and Barb. Throughout her life, Marvel was devoted to her family.

Marvel’s deep desire to be home with her children led her to open an in-home daycare. She cared for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children for 20+ years. After she retired, she continued to be a caregiver for her father-in-law and her mother.

Family was at the heart of everything Marvel did. She found great joy in hosting family gatherings. She also enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers.

Howard and Marvel enjoyed traveling and went on countless cruises all around the world with family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on February 7, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with a service following at 2:00 p.m. at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina, Minnesota. A light snack following service.
