Mary Gae Harris (Burgan) Obituary

Mary Gae Harris (Burgan), born on February 21, 1943, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 17, 2025, in Rosemount, Minnesota. She was 82 years old. Mary’s life was a testament of devotion to her family, her faith, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.

Her journey began in Minneapolis, where she was born to Delores Burgan and grew up alongside her brothers Lance and Randy. From an early age, Mary’s warmth and strength of spirit were evident to those around her.

She shared a loving marriage with her husband, Donald Harris, for 62 years. Together they built a life centered on love, faith, and family. Mary was the proud mother of three children: Kim (David), Michael (Tricia), and Shelly (John). Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren—Ashley, Jarod, Michael, Jackie, Jessica, Miles, and Colin—and through the next generation of great-grandchildren: Peyton, Wyatt, Bentley, Carter, Aiden, Caleb, Camden, Cohen, Cooper, Jackson, Elliott, Jameson, Jacob, Haakon, Ashlynn, and Beau.

Mary’s heart held space for each member of her family. She found immense joy in spending time with them—whether it was cheering them on at events or simply being present with a

warm smile and open arms. Her love for her grandchildren was one of the defining joys of her life.

An active woman throughout her years, Mary embraced the outdoors with enthusiasm. She enjoyed biking and cross-country skiing—activities that reflected both her vitality and appreciation for nature’s beauty. Traveling also brought her joy; she cherished the opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories along the way.

At the core of Mary’s life was her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Her spiritual foundation guided her actions and offered comfort throughout life’s seasons. Those who knew Mary were touched by the quiet strength of her belief and the grace with which she lived out her values.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved mother Delores and grandson Joel. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

May Mary Gae Harris be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the faith that sustained her through every chapter of life. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
