Joseph C. "Joe" Jensen Obituary

Joseph C. Jensen, age 64, of Eden Prairie, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025,  after a courageous seven-year battle with glioblastoma (brain cancer).

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Jeanne; brother, Gordon; sister, Judy; and father-in-law, Ernie.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Denelle; son, Joshua (Kim); daughter, Julia; brothers, Jerry (Sandy), Jack (Maureen), Jim, Jeff (Leann), Jay (Maureen), and Greg (Angel); mother-in-law, Arlene; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Deb (Gregg), Denise (Lon), Delaine (David), Dewayne (Laura), DeeAnn (Todd); and many, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Joe was deeply passionate about coaching and creating a positive, welcoming atmosphere around sports. He often credited the game of pickleball with saving his life—a sport he quickly excelled at and through which he formed many lasting friendships. It became Joe’s mission to introduce everyone he met to pickleball, enthusiastically offering free, “money-back guaranteed” lessons and sharing the joy the game brought him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the family.
