Frank Bryant Wetzel Obituary

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Frank B. Wetzel on December 27, 2025, at the age of 84. Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness, creativity, and generosity touched countless lives.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Wetzel, and his children Vicki Banfield, Andrea Hansen, Wendy Richardson, Bryant Wetzel, Brenda Johnston, Amy Flumerfelt, and Eric Wetzel. He also leaves behind two sisters, Frances Cottle and Patricia Negrete, and his brother Bryant Wetzel, along with many beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy.

Frank’s life was a canvas of creativity. A gifted artist, he found peace and inspiration painting outdoors and loved sharing his passion by teaching others. His appreciation for beauty extended beyond art—he enjoyed movies, cheering for the Minnesota Vikings, and spending time with friends. Frank was always ready with a helping hand, a warm smile, and a listening ear.

Frank will be remembered not only for his talents but for his unwavering love for family and friends. His legacy of kindness and creativity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. As Pablo Picasso once said, ‘Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.’ Frank lived this truth, bringing color and light to the lives of those around him.
