Loran Rieger Obituary

Loran Rieger was born on a cattle ranch in Athboy, South Dakota, September 23, 1936.  He left his temporary home on earth in Shoreview Minnesota and entered his eternal home in Heaven with Jesus Dec. 20, 2025. 


Preceded in death by his father and mother, Emanual and Frieda Rieger, 4 brothers and 5 sisters.   


He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Holly Phillips Rieger.  7 children Dale Rieger (Terri), Helen Rieger, Carol Rieger, Lois Janke (Russ), Theresa Hinchcliffe (Terry), Kimberly Murphy, Tammy Hinton.   13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.  Many nieces, nephews and friends.     


Thank you to the Interim Hospice team and Shoreview Senior Living staff for their support and care.    


A memorial service will be held at North Heights Lutheran Church 2701 Rice St., Roseville, MN on Saturday, January 10, 2026, 10:00 a.m. visitation - 11:00 a.m. service, reception to follow.
