Stephen Lee Christenson

Christenson, Stephen Lee age 79, of Red Wing passed away on November 24, 2025 at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester due to a serious illness. Steve is preceded in death by his wife, Julie Christenson; father Ken Christenson; mother Jeanette Christenson; nephew Jeff Dawson; and his pugs Lady and Samantha.    Steve is survived by his sister, Karen (Jerry) Halvorson; nephew Tim (Missy) Dawson, and grandnephews Kyler and Christopher Dawson.  Steve was a zookeeper at the Minnesota Zoo for over 30 years.  He loved hunting, fishing, birding, and nature in general. He will be missed by his family and many friends. A celebration of life will be at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4343 Nicollet Ave South, Minneapolis, MN 55409 on Saturday, January 10th with Reception at 10am and Service at 11am.
