BARTHOLOW, Ruth Evelyn, Plymouth (formerly of St. Louis Park), age 99. Ruth was a strong woman, overcoming stark adversity in her childhood in Jordan, Minnesota. She went on to serve the public through her 15 years working for St. Louis Park Public Schools, and she was a beloved wife, mother of three, grandmother of five, aunt, sister, and friend. In her late 40s, she went back to school and earned a degree from the University of Minnesota, one of her proudest accomplishments. She was a member of Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church for almost 80 years, where she was active as a Sunday School teacher and in the Kumdubl Club. She was also a long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star- Joppa & Lake Harriet Lodges. Her wisdom, laugh, dry wit, love, and practicality will be dearly missed, and will live on in the lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert G. Bartholow; her parents, Edward and Ella Radke; her brothers Loren, John, Frederick, and Robert Radke; and her son-in-law, E. Robie Wayne.
She is survived by her daughter Kristie Wayne; sons John (Patricia) and Paul (Sandy); grandsons John, Steven (Chelsea), Paul (Katie Schaefer), Robert Bartholow; granddaughter Jessica (Jakob) Zamzow; six great-grandchildren; and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the church, the Adler Graduate School, or the Jordan MN Education Foundation.
