Gordana Muzijevic passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the age of 87, surrounded by her beloved family.

She was born on April 21, 1938, in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Gordana attended school in Sarajevo, where she met the love of her life, whom she married in 1960 and cherished until his sudden passing in 1991. Her greatest devotion was to her children, Dragana and Pedja.

The war in Bosnia and Herzegovina abruptly changed her life in 1992. In 1995, Gordana immigrated to Minnesota with her daughter, embracing a new life with resilience and determination—learning a new language, culture, and way of living. Dragana married Djido Hadziosmanovic and he and Gordana quickly developed a deep and affectionate connection.

One of her happiest moments came with the birth of her grandson, Vedran. Although he was just a baby when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, his love and presence gave her strength to overcome it—and continued to sustain her through many challenges over her long life. He brought joy to her every day. Gordana was a devoted grandmother, driving Vedran to school, tennis lessons, and countless activities. It was during these years that she earned her affectionate nickname, “Bubu.”

Gordana loved her friends, cooking, gatherings, and traveling—especially attending concerts to hear her son perform.

She is survived by her daughter Dragana Hadziosmanovic, son Pedja Muzijevic, grandson Vedran Hadziosmanovic, and son-in-law Djido Hadziosmanovic.

Gordana will be cremated in Minnesota and laid to rest with her husband in Sarajevo in the spring of 2026.
